I am probably as much a fan of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's The Book of Mormon as a guy can be without seeing the play or buying the album. I enjoy the songs on YouTube, and it's still on my list of shows to go see. I have reason for pause, though, after reading the story of Liza Morong.
Apparently this play has the power to convert me.
Okay, I lied. I'm still going to see The Book of Mormon and I'm pretty sure I'll walk away the same old Protestant I am now. Still, I wonder how many other unintentional converts satire claimed. Has anyone converted to Christianity after seeing Monty Python's Life of Brian, or become a Jedi after seeing any of the Star Wars prequels? I'm not ruling anything out at this point.
